TLTI Children’s Safety Courses
We’re coming back to TLTI in Lansdowne on the holidays! “Home Alone Safety for Kids” will be upstairs at the Fire Hall from 9-3 on Thursday Jan 2nd. Boys and girls ages 9-12 will learn important safety skills using games, videos and other fun activities. Red Cross Babysitter Training (ages 11 and up) will be in the same location on Friday, Jan 3rd from 9am-4pm. Both courses teach street safety, stranger danger, tricky people, internet and fire safety, safe snacking and first aid. Babysitter Training builds on those skills by learning how to care for others, including younger siblings, demonstrating and practicing child and infant CPR, how to use an epi pen and asthma inhaler/spacer. We review the safety skills you have been teaching all along. $55 for either course includes take home workbook. Please contact First Aid/CPR instructor Colleen Cameron by text 613 498 4415 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to save a limited spot for your child. You can also register directly on www.leeds1000islands.ca and click on “Recreation and Leisure”. Payment is due on the day of training. You will receive a reminder notice. Please bring a nut free lunch and doll or teddy (for the babysitter class).
